Our Philosophy
The Swift Current Child Care Centre believes that each child is unique in their own special way. We strive to nurture and develop their individual dignity by respecting each child for their unique qualities. We encourage each child to learn and develop at their own level so they will gain confidence and self-esteem at an early age. We will ensure the program allows for a balance of activities including individual and small group play, child initiated and adult initiated activities, active and quiet play, indoor and outdoor play and activities that promote physical, intellectual, language and social-emotional development. We will offer a side by side learning approach, and view the children as competent learners and contributors. We will give each child guidance and understanding as they explore the world around them in a safe and friendly environment.
Our Mission Statement
Our main goal at The Swift Current Child Care Centre is to act in the best interests of the children. We strive to be open to new ideas and to create a healthy and safe learning environment for the children. We will work to the best of our abilities to learn and grow with the ever changing fundamentals of Early Learning, as well as grow with The Centre as a whole.
